Electronics Price Hike (a.k.a. Ripping You Off)
You can buy a 16GB iPod Touch in the United States for $400 (around JD283). You can purchase one at PC Zone in Mecca Mall for JD532 (around $751). What a bargain.
The moral of this story is that even if you had one shipped from the States and you had to pay government customs taxes (let’s just say 30%), you will still end up saving nearly $231 (JD163)!
So you have to wonder, how much extra overhead actually exists for stores (like PC Zone) when it comes to importing name-brand electronics from other countries?

And the worst part part goes when they start asking why there’s no body buying electronics in jordan or as to say why is the market so weak .. People got enough to handle right now with all the gas / Fuel / Food prices .. and yes i actually got my-self the new ipod nano from Amazon.com paid almost 50 jd’s for taxes but boy it was worth it .
