Faces of Thailand
When I do photography, my architectural background comes out. I tend to photograph places, scenes and points of interest. Focusing on these things just comes more naturally to me. What isn’t as natural to me is photographing people. There’s just something so…obtrusive…about it. So I really have to force myself to concentrate on “shooting” people.
But sometimes the real story is found in the eyes (or in this case, the teeth or feet) of the people. Check out some of my portrait pictures from Thailand.

Wow! These are really gorgeous…have you taken similar around the Middle East. I was just wondering if you know John Wreford in Syria…he’s in the same business and a good friend.
Love your work

Arima, I have thousands of pictures from the Middle East and Northern Africa, but they tend to be more location- or scene-oriented with very few portraits. It’s something I am working on, though.
I’m not familiar with John Wreford. Thanks for the compliment.

MashAllah, those are like National Geographic. Is that your profession or just a hobby?

Um Omar, it’s a little of both. It’s not my primary job, but it’s a small part of a greater whole.
