Snowy Amman
It’s snowing in Amman. A lot. No one is out. I expect nearly everything to be closed today.
So why is it that I feel restless on snow days? I just want to be out doing things…and I’m not talking about playing in the snow. Perhaps my desire stems from the fact that my new Mac Book Pro is waiting for me at iSystem, ready to be picked up. Perhaps it’s the nice hot plate of nachos and the movie I Am Legend that are waiting for me at Zara Center. I guess I should be happy that I have a stockpile of movies, hot chocolate and popcorn to keep me preoccupied on this frosty day.
Ok, I’m off to clean the snow off my satellite dish.

As you can see, we’re thrilled (in fact I’m bout to post pics of our snow creations). I can’t believe there are NO KIDS playing in the snow. What kind of crazy people live in Jordan?!

‘I Am Legend’ is a great film. You’ll enjoy it — and probably even better with nachos. As a transplanted New Yorker, I was particularly struck by the scenes of an empty, wild New York City.
There are lots of kids playing in the snow and sledding in these parts — including “kids” who are about 27 years old.
I went out for about 5 minutes, had my fill, and came right back inside.

that movie is worth trekking through the snow. and the nachos make it worth doing naked.

hi, how much did you pay your Macbookpro, and how are the specs?? I am desperately needing one - am in Hanoi rying to fetch one- will be in Amman next week. if you know isystem website it would be great. ciao, donata

Donata, I got mine for JD1,950, but that was a special discount because I was purchasing another Macbook Pro and 21 Macbooks.
My Macbook Pro is the 15″ with the 2.2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. It has a 5,200rpm, 120GB hard drive. Everything is pretty standard.
I’m afraid I don’t know what the iSystem website is and I can’t find it online. Sorry.
