Happy New Year
The final phase of my US journey is nearly complete. I’ve spent plenty of time with family. I’ve eaten good food. I’ve purchased nice swag. And I managed to help my brother get married. Now I’m ready to come home.
So the plan is to be back in Jordan in the next couple of days. Until then, have a happy new year.

Another reason why I’m dying to come back is because I haven’t had internet access or mobile phone coverage for about 5 days. I’ve been going through withdrawals. I feel so disconnected. How pathetic is that?

Happy new year dude, wanna airport pickup ?

Thanks for the offer, dude, but I think my wife is picking me up. I have a bunch of goodies for you, however, so we’ll get together shortly after I get back.

Its hard to believe you don’t have internet access in the states! I am here in amman and going through the ‘withdrawal’ since the internet is unbelievably slow.
but hey, I can’t complain about the mobile service. ever since I came back and I am texting everybody like crazy. it feels good not to be charged when somebody is calling or texting you -like what they do back in the US.
Hope you had a good time. fly safe

What do you mean you have a bunch of goodies for Jad? And what am I? A spot on the wall? You better have goodies for me. And a glance at a pair of Prada boots doesn’t count. I want something solid. Something I can take home with me. I DEMAND a goody. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
And seeing as you’re back now, how about an I’m Back kinda post? We’re waiting with bated breaths, come on already.

Kinzi, the flight was pleasant since it only took 9 hours (I guess we took a short cut this time) and I slept most of the way. It’s getting through our airport that is the hassle.
Bilal, at one point I was in an area that had dial-up, but it was down due to a short in the underground line. So I had spotty access depending on my location. At other times, I had a blazing connection.
Also, halfway through my trip, my computer power cord crapped out and I had to order a new one. I couldn’t use my computer for a couple of days until the replacement arrived in the mail.
Hal, all the goodies for Jad was stuff he purchased and shipped to me. I was just the mule. As for the glance at the Prada boots, a glance was all I could afford because I already dropped two grand on camera equipment while I was in New York City. But I’ll be glad to take a flattering picture of you with my new camera.
How’s that?
