Easily Create Vectors From Bitmaps
When a free online tool does a better job of vectorizing bitmaps than Adobe Illustrator, you’ve got to hope Adobe are getting ready to open their wallets.
Check out Vector Magic.

Nize!
Thanks for the tip. I remember Corel also had something similar.
Do you think we’ll see the day where someone is going to break the dominance of Adobe over photo-shinging?

Great!
Almost all my photos, logos on my blog or on any other document is done on paint
so they end up bad.I’ve recently installed Paint.Net , it’s so easy to use and gives great result!
But with your tool? I can go back to my beloved paint Brush! The greatest invention of them all!
Thanks for the tip abu Arab, what do u do for living anyways?

I have both photoshop and corel photopaint, but I always end up using Corel because I find it much more intuitive.

Qwaider, I highly doubt Adobe will be overthrown any time soon. Even if someone else comes out with something fantastic, Adobe tends to toss money at them and swallow them up.
Check out the details on the new, online photo-editing application that is on the way: Photoshop Express.
Firas, what do I do for a living? Technically I do a lot of things, but specifically I am a media specialist.
Hani, I never toyed much with Corel. I started with Photoshop back in version 4 and have been using it ever since. It’s not that difficult when you’ve “grown up” with each new version, I guess.

David, I knew about it for a while, but you can easily get the same result if not better on illustrator CS3 in live tracing options
this is for n00bs

i don’t know what vectorizing bitmaps means, but i sure did like that 24 parody video!
somehow i either never knew of this blog, or had it completely erased from my memory by the government. or it got erased from browser history when my little brother decided to erase his tracks leading to some…well…inappropriate websites. like sites that claim Han DIDN’T shoot first or sites that try to argue that saturday morning cartoons from the 80’s were merely weekly ad campaigns for toys and other products, rather than attempts to genuinely connect with the young people of the day, encouraging them on a quest for honor, duty and knowing that knowing is half the battle. you know…just really inappropriate web stuff. stuff i see that nsfw label being used for all the time.
regardless…i’ve found the journal and will comment as much as needed…whether needed or not.
(and thanks for the reply to my latest post. encouraging stuff, and very much appreciated.)

Mac, and now that they’re beginning to turn all of our 80’s cartoon favorites into live action movies (i.e. Transformers), we’re reaping the benefits. I’m just waiting for the live action G.I. Joe and Voltron movies.
As for commenting, I welcome your witty banter.
